Story :A psychologist with a keen interest in criminology gets entangled in a tough serial killer case which the police find hard to crack.Anjam Pathira sometimes gets involved. There are some edges of the seat moments. Srinath Bhasi is interesting. Kunchako Boban kept it together. Not the best show. The film often tries to be different. It tries to break away from traditional hero vs serial killer models, and “now it’s personal” thanks to writer and director Mithun Manuel Thomas. But the third act of the film is not satisfactory. All the impulses generated by the first and second effects are pathetic. In short, Anjam Padira is a good effort. But this is only Oakish cinema. The Malayalam industry will have to wait for the best serial killer movie. The film did not make any difference to me as compared to the usual crime thrillers. So, I’m not saying this movie is amazing. To some extent .But very few parts are appreciated. If not, the film is nothing less than a simple crime thriller. Not long after (read ‘Behind the Scenes’), the Malayalam film industry produced another gem of a crime thriller. A story about a criminologist involved with the police in catching a serial killer who kills police. It is also known to be inspired by real events.
